03a0514 BLOK

03a0514 BLOK
From 'My Name is Red,' by Orhan Pamuk
pp 413, last line of this unusual novel:
'For the sake of a delightful and convincing story, there isn't a lie Orhan wouldn't deign to tell!'
Guess what this means…?
History isn't facts, but stories designed for some ego reason (written by the 'winners' of battles and wars).
Can we trust written History?  To a point, if you can read with a 'grain of salt!'
Is there really an objective 'fact?'  Not in my world!
To me there's no such thing as a 'fact,' but again… I'm a little different than most people!
